About the New York Giants

What to Check on This Team Page

The New York Giants are one of the NFL's founding franchises, entering the league in 1925 and helping establish professional football in the northeast. The team plays home games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a venue it shares with the New York Jets. Four Super Bowl championships headline the Giants' history, including two upset wins over the previously unbeaten-in-that-stretch New England Patriots, cemented by iconic performances from quarterback Eli Manning. The Giants' rivalry with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys inside the NFC East has produced some of the division's most memorable finishes, while the crosstown connection with the Jets gives New York a unique two-team football market. Defense has historically been the Giants' calling card, from the Lawrence Taylor-led units of the 1980s to the pass-rush-heavy roster that upset New England in Super Bowl XLII. The franchise's blue-collar identity and deep playoff history keep it among the league's most storied organizations.
